The National Adoption Foundation was established in 1994 by adoptive parents who understand the unmet needs adoptive families have for financial support and advocacy. Everything the Foundation does is driven by a clear understanding of the challenges faced by families in the adoption process and beyond. The National Adoption Foundation is the only national resource dedicated exclusively to providing financial support, information and services directly to adoptive families.

The mission of the National Adoption Foundation is to provide financial assistance, services and support to families, before, during and after their adoptions are finalized. The Foundation's programs are available to any family whether they are adopting an infant, a child from abroad or a child from foster care.

Provides  low interest adoption loans and adoption grants for families who have exhausted other financial options and could not proceed with their adoption without our help.

Helpusadopt.org is a national non-profit 501(c)(3) financial assistance grant program providing qualified couples and individuals -regardless of race, ethnicity, marital status, gender, religion, sexual orientation, or disability- with grants of up to $15,000 towards their domestic, international, foster, or special needs adoption expenses

We believe that the best environment for the raising and training of children is in a godly home with a father and mother. ABBA Fund provides interest-free covenant loans to Christian couples who are called by God to expand their families through adoption and who need help with the “cash flow crunch” posed by adoption expenses.

Our foundation was created with the hope of building a bridge to unite special waiting children and families who wish to adopt a child but are burdened by the substantial cost associated with adopting a child internationally. Although we assist with advocating for our special children, Brittany's Hope Foundation is not an adoption agency.  We raise funds and work with adoption agencies to lower the cost of adopting special needs children. One hundred percent of all donations we receive are used to place financial grants or to benefit one of our humanitarian efforts.

Steven Humerickhouse and Timothy O'Hanlon established Adoption Advocates in 1995 to support adoption through direct advocacy for individual adoptive families and to provide technical assistance to organizations and professionals.  Renamed Adoption Subsidy Advocates in 2002, the organization is developing a strong record of success in their efforts to help families obtain support.

“A Mother’s Love believes every child deserves love and the support of a family.  I can still see the faces of the children left behind in my Son's orphanage.  I have made it my mission to assist people with the hardship of paying for Adoptions and Infertility costs.  That is why I started this business. “

Adoption is fundamentally about giving a child the dignity and love they deserve. This is the essence of The Gift of Adoption Fund and serves to intimately shape the organization’s mission and vision.  Mission: To inspire adoption by providing grants to qualified parents – giving children who need families a permanent home and a chance to thrive.  Vision: Create a new industry of philanthropic giving by making adoption a charitable endeavor.

Child Welfare Information Gateway connects child welfare and related professionals to comprehensive information and resources to help protect children and strengthen families. We feature the latest on topics from prevention to permanency, including child abuse and neglect, foster care, and adoption.

Funding through CAFA Process CAFA works with Christian couples, starting with an application reviewed by CAFA board members. We then send funding packets to clients who contact friends, family and acquaintances requesting help with the costs of the pending adoption. As a 501(c)3 ministry, donations to CAFA are tax deductible. Money is then distributed to our clients for use in paying for their adoptions.

Our mission is to help children, families and birthparents cope with adoption. While defraying the cost of the adoption services, granting request the children waiting in the foster care system or helping with educational needs to birthparents who have successfully completed an adoption.

Kingdom Kids helps families raise finances for adoption by developing a support team committed to praying for and contributing to adoption expenses.  Many families rely on Kingdom Kids’ adoption and parenting resources and training to prepare them for adoption and help them raise their adopted children.

Adoption is a ministry to effect future generations...and Lifesong's Adoption Grant, and Church Adoption Fund programs are fantastic resources for how God could provide for your adoption financial needs.

Since 1994, NACAC has operated the Adoption Subsidy Resource Center to educate parents and professionals about the benefits available to children and youth adopted from foster care in the U.S. and Canada. In this section, you will find profiles on each of the state subsidy programs, as well as a majority of the provincial adoption assistance profiles. For the U.S., we offer definitions of special needs, and fact sheets on various aspects relating to post-adoption support programs. We will be adding information specific to the Canadian system of adoption assistance, but right now much of this section is under construction.

The Oxford Adoption Foundation is a nonprofit charitable foundation that was formed in 2003 by Murray & Valerie Wise of Naples, Florida after they adopted seven-year old twins from Russia.  Oxford Adoption Foundation was formed to help families to adopt internationally by providing low interest loans to assist with the expenses associated with the international adoption process.  It is the goal and objective of Oxford Adoption Foundation to help as many children as possible to become part of loving adoptive families.

Adoption can cost between $10,000 and $45,000, and as a result many orphans are not welcomed into a forever family. Through adoption assistance grants, Show Hope donors have helped provide loving, Christian families for over 2,000 waiting orphans from 40 different countries, including the U.S.

Other Resources:

The Internal Revenue adoption tax credit may provide an important savings for your family.
The Hope for Children Act provides a federal adoption tax credit, per child, to families who qualify.  This new 2011 tax law means that adoptive parents may apply up to $13,170 of their adoption expense.  For the first time ever, families may be getting cash back from the IRS for their adoption expenses. The credit may now be taken as a refund!  In the event adoptive parents owe less than the tax credit amount stated, they may receive some or all of the balance as a refund on their Federal taxes.   Wow!!  Families can actually receive the full tax credit in the form of a refund, even if they owe zero taxes.

This applies to all adoptions, both international and domestic and special needs or not.

What Qualifies as Adoption Expenses?  Adoption fees, Court costs, Attorney fees, Travel expenses (including amounts spent for meals and lodging) while away from home, and, Re-adoption expenses to adopt a foreign child

  • Adoption Friendly Employers

A growing number of employers offer adoption benefits to their employees. Check with your Human Resources Department to see what may be available to you. Some private and government employers give financial assistance or adoption reimbursement for their employees or extended leave for parents when traveling to pick up their child.

The assistance may include reimbursement for specific costs or a fixed payment, regardless of actual expenses. Employers often offer $2,500 to $10,000 toward your adoption costs. Other benefits may include paid and unpaid leave and counseling and support before and after adoption. If your employer does not offer a plan, request that they put one into place. There are many benefits to the employer, as well as the employee, for offering adoption benefit plans. For more information about employer adoption benefits please contact the national Adoption Center in Philadelphia at 1-800-TO-ADOPT.  To view a list of employers currently offering benefits, see www.adoptionfriendlyworkplace.org/Employers.asp
